It has been frozen since 1988 and being listed for a fair and reasonable price given it's uniqueness. This is your LAST CHANCE to get.

Film still in the original boxes and "brick" style sealed cellophane. If you are at all interested in picking up one of Kodak's finest film's ever made. Easy to say there is no idea if, or when any Panatomic X film like this, will resurface in the marketplace again. And certainly not in this condition and known state. The film works nicely and I'd have no hesitation recommending it for folks who want to try it.

I think it needs a bit more exposure to reach into the shadows..... And maybe a bit less development than we gave it..... But it's going to work credibly well as a rare novelty. I will have to check with our film guy, but my pretty clear memory is that we ran it for 6.5 or 7 min. In seasoned / replenished Kodak Xtol.

The processor is a classic Refrema.......... All of this Panatomic-X film expired on 9/1990 and was all from the same Kodak production batch with various film cut numbers. Panatomic was one of Kodak's finest grain, full range panchromatic film's with a ASA of 32, it has a beautiful deep rich contrast range that no other film can really match and is super sharp. Xtol developer is said to be a very good replacement for D-76 in a production dip and dunk processor like the Refremera used by Panda Lab. Which means the test roll was processed as close as possible to one of Kodak's 1988 recommended processing modes for optimum results in 2019.

To the best of our knowledge this batch of film was from one of Kodak's last Panatomic-X runs before it was taken out of production. Thanks for your interest and happy shooting one of Kodak's finest fine grain films ever made. PLEASE NOTE WHILE A TEST ROLL WAS RUN BEFORE HAND TO VERIFY IT'S STATE.
